Eine alte Tradition des Vereins Marathon Dinslaken ist der alljährliche Lauf nach Kevelaer.Gestartet wurde wie jedes Jahr bei Elli und Walter Spelleken. Von dort aus begaben sich die Mitglieder walkend oder laufend in verschiedenen Gruppen entweder über die volle Distanz von 42 km oder in einzelnen Etappen bis nach Kevelaer.  Das Wetter trug zur guten Stimmung bei und nach Erreichen der Kevelaer Kapelle stellten die LäuferInnen und WalkerInnen des Vereins Kerzen für ein erfolgreiches Gelingen des Dinslakener City – Laufes auf. Im Anschluss ließ man gemeinsam bei Kaffee und Kuchen den Nachmittag ausklingen.  Mit dem Lauf nach Kevelaer am 26.03.2017 wurde zudem die diesjährige Laufsaison eröffnet.
