Auf den Spuren der Neandertaler

Am 19. März 2017 startete Wolfgang Hildebrandt beim 28. Neandertallauf in Erkrath über eine sehr anspruchsvolle Strecke von 14,065 km und 180 Höhenmetern, einem so genannten Drittelmarathon, durch das Neandertal.
Bei sehr windigem aber trockenem Wetter erreichte er nach hervorragenden 1:17:00 h als 17. In seiner Altersklasse das Ziel. In der Gesamtwertung schaffte er es auf Platz 216 und lag somit bei ca. 500 Startern in der ersten Hälfte. Der langjährige Läufer hat Marathon Dinslaken damit erfolgreich vertreten. 

Auch bei den Laufveranstaltungen in der Region sind nun Schutzmaßnahmen gegen Anschläge zum traurigen Bild geworden: So war der Start – Ziel – Bereich beim Neandertallauf aus Sicherheitsgründen von Sattelschleppern eingeschlossen – kein schönes Bild für alle Teilnehmer.
