Schweres Geläuf

Ein Erlebnis der besonderen „Laufart“ ist Barfuß-Lauf durch den Sand der Galopprennbahn in Neuss.

Sabine und Dirk Menzel (Siehe Bild) von Marathon Dinslaken absolvierten hier den 2. Barfuß Run zugunsten der Kinderstation des Lukaskrankenhauses in Neuss.

Gewertet und gespendet wurde nach der Anzahl der gelaufenen Runden von insgesamt 1,6 km Länge, wobei nach Auffassung von Fachleuten der läuferische Aufwand im Sand doppelt zu bewerten war.

Dirk Menzel legte 5 Runden zurück; die gelaufene Distanz betrug 8 km, die er in 57:50 Min. zurücklegte. In der Gesamtwertung kam er auf den 10. Platz.

Ehefrau Sabine Menzel lief eine Distanz von 1,6 km und kam in der Wertung in 11:24 Min. auf Platz 2.
