Traditionell starten wir am ersten Maiwochenende in Wesel Flüren und ein paar Tage später beim Schermbecker Straßenlauf.

Am 01.Mai fanden wir uns beim 48. Sparkassen Halbmarathon Wesel/Flüren im Waldstadion ein. Angelika, Bert und Christina gingen hier an den Start, um wichtige Punkte für den Vereinscup zu sammeln. Alle drei sind in den Top 4 ihrer Altersklassen wiederzufinden. Die landschaftlich schöne Strecke führt vom Flürener Stadion durch den Diersfordter Wald über den Rheindeich und wieder zurück nach Flüren. Auch auf dem Podest stehen durften Jutta mit Platz 1 und Kornelia mit Platz 2 ihren AK über 5-km-Walking bzw. Martina gelang Platz 4 ihrer AK im 5-km-Lauf.

Start und Ziel des Schermbecker Straßenlaufs waren an der örtlichen Gesamtschule, von hier gingen die Wald- und Wirtschaftswege durch den Dämmer Wald. Die familiäre Atmosphäre entfachte die Euphorie, um ein erfolgreiches Rennen zu bestreiten. Im Ziel wartete das Verpflegungsteam mit Kuchen, Gegrilltem und kühlen Getränken. Es war eine gelungene Veranstaltung.  Mit Platz 1 gelang Jutta der Sieg in der Walking-5km Kategorie. Vierte ihrer jeweiligen Altersklassen wurden Petra und Susanne im 5-km-Lauf bzw. Marcel sechster der AK im 10 km Hauptlauf.
