Uwe Christ schnellster in seiner Altersklasse

169 Teilnehmer fanden sich am 01.Mai zum 42. Sparkassen Halbmarathon Wesel/Flüren im Waldstadion ein. Unter ihnen waren auch vier Sportler vom Marathon Dinslaken am Start, um wichtige Punkte für den Vereinscup zu sammeln. Auch wenn bei dem nicht so guten Wetter wenig Zuschauer vor Ort waren, war die Stimmung bestens. Die für die Schnelligkeit bekannte, landschaftlich schöne Strecke führt vom Flürener Stadion durch den Diersfordter Wald über den Rheindeich und wieder zurück nach Flüren. Vom Start weg lief es für Uwe Christ gut, der sich mit seiner Zeit von 1:38:03 den Sieg in der Altersklasse M55 sicherte und als einziger Dinslakener deutlich unter der 2-Stunden Marke blieb. Georg Smeets erreichte den 13. Platz in seiner Altersklasse mit einer Zeit von 2:03:27.  Dagmar Kuckuck und Jutta Erlekotte liefen beide in der Altersklasse W55 und konnten das Ziel in einer Zeit von 2:21:21 finishen. Dagmar erlangte somit Platz 5 und Jutta Platz 6 bei diesem gelungenen Wettkampf.
