Das dachten sich auch die beiden Dinslakener Marathonies Jutta und Ingo Erlekotte. Den 38. Berliner Halbmarathon wollten sie nicht schnell ablaufen, sondern den Lauf mit Spaß und all seinen Sehenswürdigkeiten genießen. 32000 Sportler warteten am 08,04,2018 in der Karl-Marx-Allee auf den Startschuss. Entlang der 21,0975 Km säumten sich über 250000 Zuschauer die die Sportler anfeuerten. Bei traumhaften Sommerwetter führte der schöne Streckenverlauf vorbei an den Berliner Fernsehturm, Berliner Dom, Brandenburger Tor, Berliner Siegessäule, Schloss Charlottenburg, Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, Potsdamer Platz und das Rote Rathaus. Es war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, welches Jutta nach 2:22:32 und Ingo nach 2:22:33 wieder in der Karl-Marx-Allee abschloss.
