Nicht wie in den letzten Jahren am Bergwerk Prosper Haniel, sondern im Jahnstadion fiel der Startschuss für den diesjährigen Bottroper Herbstwaldlauf.

Über viele Jahre war das Bergwerk Prosper Haniel der Dreh-und Angelpunkt des traditionsreichen Herbstwaldlaufs. Aufgrund der Umgestaltung war dies ab diesem Jahr nicht mehr möglich, weshalb die Organistoren den Start- und Zieleinlauf ins Jahnstadion in Bottrop verlegten. Wir waren in diesem Jahr mit einer großen Gruppe über die 10 km Strecke dabei. Nach dem Start führte der Weg aus dem Stadion heraus in den Stadtpark, von dort in den Wald. Als erste Herauforderung galt die Überquerung der Autobahn mit einem Anstieg. Nach einem kurzen Pendelstück konnte man sich am Verpflegungspunkt stärken, ehe es zurück durch den Stadtwald Richtung Innenstadt ging.

Brigitte, Christina, Angelika und unsere beiden Tanjas sicherten sich Podestplätze in ihren Altersklassen.
