Mitte August starteten wir den Halbmarathon-Laufplan mit Ziel des Rhein City Run von Düsseldorf nach Duisburg.

In zwei Startwellen (9.15 Uhr und 9.20 Uhr) ging es am Sonntag auf die 21,1 km lange Strecke. Der Streckenverlauf ist absolut flach und außergewöhnlich schön, da er überwiegend am Rhein entlang führt. Der Startschuss fiel am Robert-Lehr-Ufer in Düsseldorf, der Zieleinlauf war der EDEKA-Parkplatz in Duisburg-Huckingen. Der Wettergott bescherte uns nahezu ideale, heiter-wolkige Bedingungen. Unser Laufkurs reihte sich in der zweiten Welle ein. Alle kamen voller Stolz durch den Zielbogen gelaufen und nahmen ihre Medaille in Empfang.
