Das letzte Novemberwochenende nutzte Marcel für einen Marathon auf dem Hockenheimring.Die mittlerweile vierte Auflage der Ring Running Series fand auf der original Fomel 1-Strecke statt. Auf dem durchgehend flachen Profil sind Bestzeiten nicht unüblich, was Marcel auch nutzte. Er finishte über die Ziellinie nach 3:58:57 und unterbot sein 4-Stunden-Ziel. Es galt neun Runden für den Marathon zu meistern und die Highlights der Strecke - wie zum Beispiel das Motodrom, die Parabolika oder auch die Boxengasse - zu passieren. Marcel war von der Oganisation und dem damit verbundenen Drumherum so begeistert, dass er es für nächstes Jahr in seinem Laufkalender als festen Termin wieder eingeplant hat.
