Am ersten Novemberwochenende fand der traditionsreiche Herbstwaldlauf in Bottrop statt.Leider vielleicht zum letzten Mal nahmen wir an dieser Veranstaltung unweit des Zechengeländes teil. Der endgültige Rückbau beginnt bald, weshalb die Zukunft des Laufevents noch offen ist. Dies tat der Stimmung aber keinen Abbruch, über 1.600 Läufer gingen über die verschiedenen Disziplinen an den Start. Das Wetter war herbstlich wechselhaft mit regnerischen Abschnitten und starkem Wind. Andreas zeigte an diesem Tag, dass ihm die langen Strecken liegen. Er ging über die 50-km-Strecke an den Start und finishte nach 04:18:42 als Erster in der AK M60. Auch Angelika eroberte den zweiten Podestplatz in ihrer Alterklasse W65 mit 57:54 Minuten über die 10 Kilometer zum Heidesee.
