Der diesjährige Halbmarathon beim 40. Rhein-Ruhr-Marathon wurde für Marcel und Sebastian zu einem Kraftakt.Man ist es in Duisburg Anfang Juni nicht anders gewohnt: Über 30°C waren nicht die optimalen Bedingungen für das über 5.000 Teilnehmer große Starterfeld. Marcel und Sebastian behielten einen kühlen Kopf, gaben ihr Bestes mit der Belohnung des Zieleinlaufs in die Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena. Sie kamen schnell ins Schwitzen, da die Temperaturen schon am frühen Vormittag stark anstiegen. Viele Verpflegungsstellen entlang der Strecke und die vielen Gartenschläuche der Duisburger sorgten immer für eine nötige Abkühlung.
