Sonnenschein und Siedenbiedel erfolgreich

Am 9. Oktober 2016 fand zum 54. Mal der Essen-Marathon „Rund um den Baldeneysee“ statt. Insgesamt 674 Läufer gingen über 42,195 km an den Start.Bei besten Laufbedingungen und 2 landschaftlich schönen Runden um den Baldeneysee nahmen auch Kirsten Sonnenschein (4:04:15) und Jörg Siedenbiedel (4:00:14) von Marathon Dinslaken daran teil. Für Jörg Siedenbiedel war es der 2. Marathon. Er ist seinem Ziel, unter 4 Stunden einen Marathon zu laufen, mit seiner diesmal erreichten Zeit deutlich näher gekommen.
