Altersklassensieg für Janin Beyer

Die Kurstadt Bad Pyrmont lud am 30. Juli 2016 in ihren historischen Kurpark zum 27. Marathon bei strahlendem Sonnenschein und guter Stimmung ein. Der Marathon startete bei warmen 28 Grad zur Mittagszeit und führte über teils unbefestigten Waldwegen in das umliegende Weserbergland. Nach dem Start führte die Strecke zunächst 10 km bergauf und wechselte stetig zwischen teils steil ansteigenden und abfallenden Wegen, welches bei dem ein oder anderen Marathonläufer zu Stürzen oder frühzeitigem Gehsequenzen führte. Trotz der sehr kräftezehrenden anspruchsvollen Strecke, wurde jeder Läufer am höchsten Punkt des Berges mit einer spektakulären Aussicht auf die Bäderstadt und das umliegende Bergland belohnt. Janin Beyer erreichte nach ca. 600 Höhenmetern mit einer Zeit von 4:09:10 als fünfte Frau gesamt und erste in ihrer Altersklasse das Ziel.
