In diesem Jahr fand der vereinsinterne Lauf in Hünxe-Bruckhausen  bei strahlendem Sonnenschein aber auch hohen Temperaturen am 20.05.2016 statt. An den Start gingen vier Walker sowie 20 Läuferinnen und Läufer. Darunter auch Ingo Anhäußer, der zum ersten Mal im Marathon-Dinslaken Dress startete und die Ziellinie nach 53:52 Minuten überquerte.

Mit einer beeindruckenden Leistung beendete Angelika Zacher (AK W55) –diesmal nicht walkend, sondern laufend- nach 52:21 Minuten das Rennen und war damit schnellste Läuferin an diesem Tag. Bei den Männern war wieder Jörg Sänger (AK M50), der für seine Verhältnisse allerdings eher gemütlich unterwegs war, mit einer Zeit von 41:20 Minuten das Maß der Dinge.

Die Walker erreichten über 5000 m folgende Zeiten: Iris Trum 34:36 Minuten, Anita Baginski 38:28, Anke Hartmann und Hans-Wilhelm Schürings 42:02.
