Michael Haex und Georg Smeets am Start

Am 24.04.2016 fand in der Landeshauptstadt der Metro Group Marathon statt, bei dem auch Michael Haex und Georg Smeets für Marathon Dinslaken starteten. Ein Lauf „mit allen Klimazonen“, wie Georg berichtete, der mit viel Sicht auf den Rhein 42,195 km durch die Stadt führte und sein Ziel in der Altstadt auf der Rheinuferpromenade fand.  Georg finishte nach 4:06:20 Stunden, Michael war kurze Zeit später, nach 4:09:23 Stunden im Ziel.
