Ein Lauffest der Superlative

24.000 Teilnehmer, 1.000 freiwillige Helfer, unzählige Bands, DJ's, Animatoren- ganz Venlo jubelnd auf den Straßen, die Häuser in orange/blau/weiß geschmückt, Konfettikanonen, Nebelmaschinen, Videoleinwände, tanzende Menschen- die Venloer wissen wirklich wie man feiert!

Es war wie beim Rosenmontagszug, vorbei an dicht gefüllten Tribünen, Gänsehautfeeling pur! Die Zeit wurde zur Nebensache.
Wasserschläuche, Gartenduschen, nasse Schwämme, Trinkwasser und Leckerchen von allen Seiten... es war hervorragend organisiert.
Das Rahmenprogramm, das Park&Ride System, alles fantastisch durchdacht und erprobt.

Da musst du unbedingt mal mitlaufen, heißt es in Sportlerkreisen, und 14 Läufer von Marathon Dinslaken waren auf dem 21,095 Kilometer langen Halbmarathonrundkurs dabei.
Trotz der ungewohnt warmen Temperaturen von 23 Grad kamen alle Marathonies mit schönen Zeiten ins Ziel.

Allen voran natürlich Andreas Piecha (1:34:57) und Sascha Strack ( 1:35:59) gefolgt von Janin Roß ( 1:47:44), Peter Kuckuck ( 1:48:04) und Michael Haex ( 1:56:18). Knapp über 2 Stunden und zufrieden liefen Erwin Brost ( 2:00:13), Dagmar Richter ( 2:00:32) und Chrissi Haex ( 2:01:37) ins Ziel. Petra Friese und Andreas Wollbrink ( beide 2:05:03), Christiana Pelzer ( 2:09:16) und Dieter Pelzer ( 2:09:17), Georg Smeets ( 2:09:20), Jutta Erlekotte ( 2:11:13) und Ralf Wermes ( 2:15:16) rundeten das Ganze ab.

Und man ist sich einig: was für ein Event – das muss man mal mitgemacht haben!
