Auch vor der der vierzehnten Auflage des von Marathon Dinslaken organisierten Energyruns, fand der traditionelle Lauf nach Kevelaer statt.

Treffpunkt war, wie üblich, auf der Almutstrasse in Dinslaken, von wo aus es auf die insgesamt 42 km lange Strecke ging. Es wurden auf verschiedenen Teilstücken der Strecke unterschiedliche Distanzen gewalkt und gelaufen. Die gesamte Marathondistanz legte Janin Beyer zurück.  Noch ‚ein Schippchen drauf‘ packte Andreas Kellerhoff, der schon ca. 5km zum Treff gelaufen kam und somit ca. 48 km absolvierte.
 Auf der Strecke wurden die Aktiven bei optimalen Laufbedingungen von ihren Vereinskammeraden immer wieder angefeuert und unterstützt. In Kevelaer angekommen konnten sich die Dinslakener Marathonies dann in der Gaststätte „Alt Derp“ stärken, bevor es gemeinsam zur Kapelle in Kevelaer ging.
