Am 21.08.2016, drei Wochen vor dem geplanten Marathon am 11.09.2016 in Münster, stand für die Teilnehmer des Marathonvorbereitungskurses ein langer, langsamer Dauerlauf von 33km auf dem Programm. Für Dirk Nowak Grund genug, zum zweiten Mal einen 6h-Lauf  in Hünxe-Bruckhausen zu organisieren. Hierbei hatten die Teilnehmer sechs Stunden Zeit, die gewünschte Distanz auf einer knapp 1,8 km langen Runde zu absolvieren. Die Vorteile eines solchen Laufs sind, dass jeder Läufer sein Tempo, seine Startzeit und die Distanz selbst bestimmen kann und nach jeder Runde einen Verpflegungsstand passiert und z. B. neue Ausrüstungsgegenstände oder Eigenverpflegung auszuprobiert werden können.
 Trotzdem herrschte zunächst bei einigen Starten doch eine gewisse Skepsis, ob ständiges Im-Kreis-Laufen nicht vielleicht irgendwannn langweilig werden würde aber am Ende waren sich alle einig, dass es eine gelungene Veranstaltung geworden ist;  nicht zuletzt dank Harald Frychel’s Engagement am Verpflegungsstand als Motivator, Bananenschäler und -schneider, Bechernachfüller, Rundenzähler und Gute-Laune-Macher.
Vierzehn Läufer liefen an diesem Tag gemeinsam insgesamt 475,55 km (das entspricht einem Durchschnitt von knapp 34 km pro Läufer). Die längste Distanz von 43,75 km legte Dirk Nowak selbst zurück.
