Am 10. Mai fand bei sonnigem Wetter auf der Krefelder Rennbahn der WDR 4 Walking Day statt

Neben Stars wie Mrs. Greenbird, Lou Bega, Michael Holm und dem Rock Orchester Ruhrgebeat waren auch die "Stars" von Marathon Dinslaken dabei.

Über die Distanz von 7 Kilometern sicherten sich Ulla Warnecke und
Julia Baginski in 53:28 Minuten den ersten Platz bei den Frauen.

Anita Baginski folgte dicht auf und belegte in 55:44 Minuten den 6. Platz knapp vor
Sandra Häusler, die mit 55:48 Minuten auf den 7. Platz kam.
