Axel, Janin und Petra waren beim Kevelaer-Marathon dabei

Janin: „Am 11.01.2015 haben wir unsere Laufsaison mit dem Marathon in Kevelar gestartet.
Bei 3 Grad, Regen, Sturmböen, Hagel und etwas Sonne im Wechsel ging es auf die Strecke.
Es waren 7 Runden á 6 km zu absolvieren.
Der Veranstalter hatte sich wettergerecht eingerichtet, an den Verpflegungsständen wurde neben warmen Tee, Bananen, Honigkuchen, Kekse und Obst sogar warmes Wasser gereicht.

Trotz der Kälte war die Stimmung an und auf der Strecke sehr gut, zu lauter Musik wurde geschunkelt und angefeuert.
Auf der Strecke traf man auf viele bekannte Läufer aus der Region, die wie wir, einen langsamen Marathon auf einer beschaulichen Veranstaltung als Jahresstart genutzt haben.

Im Ziel gab es eine Medaille und ein warmes Zelt.
Es war ein sehr schöner Lauf, den wir in unsere Liste der traditionellen Läufe aufnehmen werden.”

Janin wurde 2. ihrer AK W40 in 4:19:31 Stunden, Petra belegte mit 4:28:16 Stunden den 7. Platz der AK W55 und Axel lief zeitgleich mit Janin ebenfalls in 4:19:31 Stunden ins Ziel und wurde 17. der AK M40.
