Petra und Dagmar beim Sylvesterlauf bei Goch

Der letzte Tag des Jahres begann kalt, feucht und grau. Doch pünktlich zu unserer Ankunft in Pfalzdorf hörte der Nieselregen auf, die Sonne kämpfte sich durch und der Himmel wurde blau.
Prima, schließlich sind wir ja hergekommen, um laufend einen schönen Jahresabschluss zu haben.

Pünktlich um 15 Uhr ging es auf die 10 Kilometerstrecke. Die drei Runden durch Pfalzdorf waren gesäumt von unzähligen blauen und weißen Ballons. Die Pfalzdorfer feierten ausgelassen vor ihren Häusern und feuerten die Läufer an.

Petra gab sofort Gas und lief Richtung Wunschzeit davon. Mit 52:31 Minuten kam sie sehr zufrieden ins Ziel. Am Anfang habe ich noch versucht an ihr dran zu bleiben, aber meine noch nicht ganz auskurierte Erkältung meinte: „ Mir doch egal, was du willst... kannst froh sein, dass ich dich überhaupt laufen lasse!”
Also war ich dann am Ende froh über 54:33 Minuten.

Und die Quintessenz des Tages?
1. Man kann auch in alten Schulturnhallen unter Heißwasserkränen irgendwie liegend duschen.
2. Auch, wenn nach dem Duschen schon alle Bratwürstchen- und Kuchenstände abgebaut worden sind, bekommt man noch irgendwo ein Brühwürstchen her.
