Petra Friese meistert den anspruchsvollen Monschau Marathon

Petra: „Um 8 Uhr ging am vergangenen Sonntag der Lauf in Konzen pünktlich los.
Es ging durch die Naturkulisse an der Rur.
Zwischendurch immer wieder herrliche Aussichten.

Im Hölderbachtal, bei Kilometer zwölf kam die mächtigste Steigung der Strecke!
Die Verpflegungsstelle bei Kilometer vierzehn sorgte dann wieder für frische Kraft.
Bei Kilometer neunzehn war die Höhe von fünfhundert Metern erreicht.
Nach einundvierzig Kilometern war dann die letzte Steigung mit circa zweihundert Metern Länge zu meistern.

Jetzt konnte man die Konzener Kirche schon sehen, von wo aus der Marathon morgens los ging.
Für mich war dann das Ziel nach 04:46:20 Stunden als 11. in der AK W55 erreicht.
Es wurden alle Teilnehmer im Ziel stürmisch begrüßt und ein gemütlicher Nachmittag rundete das Naturerlebnis ab.
