Sabine und Dirk Menzel berichten vom 36. Weezer Pfingst-Halbmarathon

Der TSV Weeze hatte zu seiner Traditionsveranstaltung am Pfingstmontag geladen.
Laurenz Thissen war natürlich wieder als Moderator am Start.


Temperaturen um die 30 Grad machten den Läufern und Walkern sehr zu schaffen, deshalb war die Devise "Ankommen ist alles".
Georg Smeets lief den Halbmarathon in schönen 2:00:42 Stunden, Dirk Menzel walkte die 9 km in schnellen 59:57 Minuten und Sabine Menzel lief die 5 km in guten 31:07 Minuten.
Nachwuchsläufer Robert Smeets beeindruckte auf der Bambinidistanz und wurde nach 400 Metern mit 3:05 Minuten der zehnte der AK Jungen.


Der Veranstalter hatte auf den Strecken für genügend Getränke gesorgt, so kamen alle gesund ins Ziel. Eine rundherum schöne Veranstaltung zu der man gerne wiederkommt, obwohl es nicht nochmal das heißeste Pfingstfest seit der Wetteraufzeichnung sein muss.
