Genuss statt Wettkampf

Über 700 Starter waren auf den drei landschaftlich sehr abwechslungsreichen Strecken dabei.
Sieben, vierzehn oder einundzwanzig Kilometer standen zur Auswahl.
Dirk und Sabine Menzel vertraten Marathon Dinslaken auf dieser ungewöhnlichen Veranstaltung und walkten die vierzehn Kilometer lange Variante rund um die Gartenschau bei schönstem Sonnenschein und hohen Temperaturen.
Auch einige Steigungen konnten sie nicht entmutigen und so erreichten sie genussvoll, aber trotzdem sehr sportlich, nach 1:43:56 Stunden gemeinsam das Ziel und wurden jeweils Dritter im Gesamteinlauf.

Der anschließende  Besuch der Landesgartenschau rundete diese Veranstaltung ab.
