Marathon Dinslaken in Holland durch Janin Roß und Axel Beyer bestens präsentiert

Axel: „Der Startschuss zum 42. PWN Egmond Halve Marathon fiel pünktlich um 12.16 Uhr.
Weit über 11.000 Läufer (es gab 11.497 Finisher) starteten nacheinander in dreizehn Gruppen, die letzte um 12.57 Uhr.

Bei strahlendem Sonnenschein und mit wenig Wind ging es vom Start aus zunächst etwa vier Kilometer durch den kleinen Ort Egmond, in dem Volksfeststimmung herrschte.
Unzählige Zuschauer am Straßenrand, in den Fenstern der Häuser und auf den Balkonen sorgten für karnevalsverdächtige Stimmung entlang der Strecke.

Von Egmond aus ging es dann circa sieben Kilometer am Strand entlang in Richtung Castricum.
In diesem Jahr stand das Wasser um 13.24 Uhr auf dem höchsten Stand, so dass sich die Läufer einen recht schmalen Strand teilen mussten. Stellenweise konnte man hier nur zu zweit oder zu dritt nebeneinander herlaufen ohne entweder rechts nasse Füße zu bekommen oder links durch den weichen Sand laufen zu müssen.

Ab Castricum ging es dann durch die Dünen wieder zurück nach Egmond, wo man vor dem Ziel noch eine kleine Strecke durch den Ort laufen musste.

Fazit: Insgesamt ein schöner Lauf mit gut gelaunten Menschen, der bis ins kleinste durchdacht und bestens organisiert ist.“
